Processing Fees

Having the ability to collect donations online is very helpful to Calvary Chapel of Leesburg. It makes giving fast, secure, and convenient for our congregation by letting them give anytime, anywhere. As with most things in life, however, there is a cost to this. Stripe, our payment processor, is a third-party company that enables our website to collect donations online. It’s a service that bills your credit or debit card, and deposits the money directly into our bank account. For this service, we are charged approximately 3% of the cost of the transaction. This is something we have to pay out of our donations, unless a donor chooses to “offset” the cost of this by giving a little extra.

For example, if you give $100 online to CC Leesburg, we will receive approximately $97.00 of that donation. But if you feel led to offset the cost of those processing fees, you can simply choose the offset option which increases your donation slightly so that we receive 100% of your donation.

Note: this is voluntary, and it’s up to you whether you’d like to cover the whole cost of the donation or not.
